INDORWA proved that the Computer Point T20 triumph was no fluke as they crushed record four-time champions Kigali Cricket Club (KCC) by 40 runs on Sunday to go top of Group B.

A well worked half century from Bhavesh Joshi (55) and cameo contributions from Mihir Solanki (46) and Romesh Thakar (28) helped Indorwa to a good score of 208 in the allocated 30 overs.

Rizwan Kawa, Jasat Mehboob and Mohammad Jasat all picked two wickets apiece for KCC but their batting colleagues failed to build on their effort thanks to Harshad Sharma who made life hard on the batting crease with his perfect line and length to eventually finish off with bowling figures of 4 for 41. Imran Moulana and Mehboob topped KCC’s scoring wheels with 52 and 40 respectively but it was all in vain as KCC collapsed at 168.

Meanwhile, it was all gloom for Rwanda as they succumbed to a humiliating eight wicket defeat against a robust Nigerian side at the on-going ICC Africa U-19 World Cup Division 2 qualifiers in Swaziland.

After being bowled out for a meagre 138, Nigeria chased down the score for the loss of only two wickets to register their second victory at the event. On Monday, the West Africans made light work of Gambia as they cruised to a ten wicket win.
