Editor,

This is in reference to your article entitled "FESPAD opens with pomp "in Monday’s issue of your newspaper.

It is very interesting to read how well this Pan African Dance Festival is being organised by the Rwanda Development Board in partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Culture. Unfortunately, India is not part of this festival though non-African countries like USA and even China are included.

Only recently the Government of India had invited the Rwanda National Ballet to perform in India. On a reciprocal basis, it would have been great for India to have had the opportunity to take part in such a large and well structured gala.

The Indian Merchants’ Chamber would be happy to explore opportunities of partnering with the Rwanda Development Board and the Ministry of Sports and Culture in order to showcase India’s rich and diverse culture in Rwanda - the land of a thousand hills and of a million smiles.

Such a move would surely increase trade, tourism and investment from India into Rwanda.
Kind regards
