GATSIBO - Residents of Kanyangese Cell, Rugarama Sector in Gatsibo District have unveiled new Cell offices.

According to the Cell Executive Secretary, Emmanuel Musonera, the building worth Rwf5million, was constructed out of residents’ contributions.

"We have very good reasons to celebrate the unveiling of the cell offices because it is a dream come true on our side. Our residents are committed to fostering development in this area. They contributed fully for the construction of the Cell premises and finally it is complete,” he said.

Musonera, added that residents directly contributed Rwf3million towards the construction, in addition to manual labour during community work.

"The manual labour was worth Rwf 2 million,” he added.
Previously, the Cell rented office premises, but the rented premises was not spacious enough, according to Musonera.

"This initiative came after residents were not satisfied with the services offered due to lack of enough space to house public officials,” he said.

Narcisse Nkunzuwimye, one of the Cell residents lauded the new move by the Cell officials.

"It is a very welcome move by Cell residents.  In fact one can notice that services have improved drastically as more officials now have offices with which to render services to the people,” he said.
