NGORORERO - More than 100,000 excited RPF supporters in Ngororero district, on Saturday, turned-out at Muramba Central School in Hindiro Sector to hear the RPF candidate, Paul Kagame’s, message, as he wound up the second day of his campaign trail in the Western Province.

Residents of Ngororero, a district that just over a month ago got its first electricity connection, rejoiced and heaped praise on the RPF candidate in appreciation of the development witnessed in their district.

Quite inaccessible in the past due to its high altitude, Ngororero was one of the poorest and most isolated districts in the country. The last time the RPF candidate visited the area, he promised the district electricity and a tarmac road, which have since been delivered.

The residents have in turn promised the RPF candidate 100% support.

The residents who gave testimonies said that, indeed, today, agricultural production in the district has increased and households have been empowered through policies introduced by the RPF.

When Kagame arrived at around 1 p.m., he was informed by the cheerful residents that they had already made their choice for the forthcoming elections. He in turn told them that he came to consult and share ideas on how the achievements can be sustained.

Kagame told the residents of Ngororero that RPF pursues clearly defined policies and that he believes the residents know what they want.

The RPF flag bearer said that the party has good plans for Ngororero and Rwandans at large and that the RPF should be chosen to continue on the path already taken.

Kagame told the mammoth crowd that Rwanda is not a small country as some would want to portray it. A country of 11 million people, he said, cannot be small because people determine the size of the country through their actions, aspirations and dignity.

He noted that the RPF is a party that walks the talk. He, once again, thanked the residents for not only supporting RPF, but for actively participating in the development process.

He urged the residents to vote RPF and its candidate in the August 9 polls, because his party is a winning team with a winning coach and that voting RPF is choosing socio-economic development, good education, good roads, good health care and food security, among others.
