That’s exactly what they do

I don’t think it’s fair to say that movies have created psychos but we can’t deny that they have been the backbone for some of the most violent cases in history.

I read in a British tabloid once where a group of teenagers brutally attacked another kid and based on the scene on the crime, it was something they’d copied from a movie.
If a mentally twisted person watches an equally twisted movie, you can be sure the result will be disturbing.

A person doesn’t need to do physical harm to someone to prove their madness.

Haven’t you heard of little kids who torture innocent animals for no apparent reason? What do you think makes a child’s mind think that way? They probably saw it in a movie once and think since it’s just an animal it’s okay.

Torturing of any kind is just wrong. And you need to be completely disturbed to pick on a defenseless little animal that can’t even talk and beg you to have mercy!

And if someone is violent at such an early stage, what happens years later? There’s no telling me that a person like that can grow up sane. For all I know those are the serial killers we hear of.

This is not to say that if movies were banned all the psychos in the world would disappear. Of course not.  But we have to admit that movies have caused more harm than good.

Some people tend to take their love for movies abit too far. To the extent of carrying out real life crimes based on some movie they watched. This is still happening.
It doesn’t have to be crime. The youth tend to copy everything they see their favorite stars doing. From their actions to the way they dress to their outrageous hairstyles.

The language alone that is used in some of these films is a major problem. The most common is in the black American ones like the Best Man or Baby Boy.

When you have you’re teenager swearing and using the f-bomb like he’s being paid to, you’ll understand.
If these actors are using foul language all over the place and not being arrested for it, the kids naturally think its okay.

However much you try to control what they watch, they always find a way. For any parent it is really frustrating and terrifying. But there are those who think kids are too young to understand what is going on and before you know it your 4 year old is playing mummy and daddy with the neighbors’ kid!

There’s nothing much to do about it because movies will always be there.  For the not so bad cases it goes just as far as copying clothes and hair dos. People who watch too much violence and have unstable minds eventually become a danger to themselves or worse, others.

In this era people are killing one another like a problem and the only reason they will never run out of ideas on how to do it is because movies will provide those ideas. Movies are great to watch but what could be even greater is if it could just stop at that, watching!
