Mbonyi in Australia for ‘Icyambu Tour’

After having a historical concert in BK Arena and Burundi, Rwandan gospel music star, Israel Mbonyi, is currently in Australia where he is expected to perform in five concerts as part of his ‘Icyambu Tour’ that kicked off on 17 September, 2022 in Edmonton, Canada.

Speaking to The New Times, Mbonyi said that his tour will reach four cities including Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, where he’s currently located, among others.

The tour, he said, aims at showcasing his second album dubbed ‘Icyambu’, and promote his mission of preaching the gospel around the world

"I’ve been performing in different cities around the world and I’m overwhelmed to be able to meet, interact and perform for my fans based in Australia. It will be one for the books,” he said

Australia tour comes after Mbonyi released first track composed in English titled "You won&039;t let go" which follow a number of successful songs such as 'Yaratwimanye', 'Ndakubarire', ‘Baho’ and many others to appear on Icyambu album.

The tour will begin in Brisbane on January 14, 2023, and continue in Sydney, where he will perform on January 21, 2023.

After Sydney, Mbonyi will perform in Perth on January 28, 2023, continue to Melbourne on February 4, 2023 and conclude his concerts in Adelaide on February 11, 2023.

After leaving Australia, it is expected that he will go to Europe shortly before heading to the United States of America.

Mbonyi came as a big surprise to the Rwandan gospel industry when he released his first album labeled, ‘’Number One.’’ The album did not receive warm reception in the country alone, but crossed to the diaspora as well.

He has since received invitations to minister in different countries such as Mozambique, Israel, Belgium, Holland, Canada, among others. The gospel icon is also known for having sold out concerts in Rwanda.
