Editor,

Kenneth Roth and the shameful organization he heads, Human Rights Watch (HRW) is at it again. Recently they threw themselves in front of press microphones and demanded that an independent ‘international’ inquiry be conducted to ascertain the ‘truth’ about the murder of the Green Party official.

First of all, I don’t know what gives him the right to even talk about Rwanda? He probably hasn’t stepped on our soil for years and all his data is totally skewed. He doesn’t have enough information to make an unbiased judgment. But that isn’t what it’s about is it?

You don’t care about your information being ‘factual’ as long as it makes it seem that the Rwandan government is busy killing its own people. After all, isn’t that what ‘all’ African governments do?

Secondly, why do you assume that the Rwandan National Police can’t handle the investigation properly? Was it an international inquiry that found the self confessed killers of the Umuvugizi editor?

I guess so. To assume that our own police can’t handle the investigation is condescending and arrogant.
