Koffi Olomide to spice RPF campaigns

KIGALI - Renowned Congolese musician, Koffi Olomide arrived in the country yesterday to perform at the official launch of the Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF) presidential election campaign drive today at Amahoro National Stadium.

KIGALI - Renowned Congolese musician, Koffi Olomide arrived in the country yesterday to perform at the official launch of the Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF) presidential election campaign drive today at Amahoro National Stadium.

Speaking to journalists at Kigali International Airport, the musician said "I didn’t compose any specific song for the campaign because my music has a great message and suits all seasons.”

Jean Pierre Karabaranga, the head of the entertainment committee, said that the singer was approached and asked to perform and support the party’s campaigns. 

Olomide, 54, who is also scheduled to perform during the biennial Pan- African festival  Fespad slated for July 24—31, said, "It is my pleasure to support the candidate, President Paul Kagame in the campaigns—I respect and admire him.”
