SET FOR NEW DEAL; Rayon Sport are set to offer Ruremesha a new deal

RAYON Sport is ready to reward Emmanuel Ruremesha for helping the club reach this year’s MTN Peace Cup final. The former Atraco assistant coach joined the Blues on a three-month contract after Jean Baptist Kayiranga’s resignation and did a fairly good job by helping the club reach the final where they lost out 1-0 to fierce rivals APR.

It has now been reported that the club have started talks with Ruremesha and his assistant Rajab Bizimuremye about a possible new long-term contract.

"Initial talks have gone well and we should wrap up the terms before the end of the week,” Rayon’s Secretary General Olivier Gakwaya said.

The club has also appointed a 12-man commission to mobilise funds for recruiting new players. The committee is headed by Bernard Itangishaka.

The Primus league side, which has not won a major title since 2004, was forced to reschedule their general assembly to mid August.

During the general assembly, a new executive committee will be voted into office.
