Imbuto girls complete CISCO training

RULINDO – Up to 20 senior six best performing girls, on Friday, completed an intensive 3-week CISCO training course, at Tumba College of Technology (TCT) in Rulindo District.

RULINDO – Up to 20 senior six best performing girls, on Friday, completed an intensive 3-week CISCO training course, at Tumba College of Technology (TCT) in Rulindo District.

The girls, drawn from all provinces, were each awarded a certificate, for successfully completing courses in IT applications and IT essentials.

Imbuto Foundation’s board member, Rita Zirimwabagabo, who represented the First Lady, Mrs Jeanette Kagame, at the function, called on the girls to maintain the spirit of hard work and self discipline while pursuing their further studies at University.

"The First Lady’s message calls upon you to be innovative, curious and self confident in order to excel in your future careers,” Zirimwabagabo said.

She further advised the girls not to be trapped by all forms of temptations detrimental to their future.

TCT principal, Eng. Pascal Gatabazi, advised the girls to share the newly acquired IT skills as a way of fostering development.

"TCT is committed to working with the society to provide the technical knowledge needed to steer economic development,” Gatabazi said.

Gatabazi presented a trophy on behalf of TCT to the First Lady for her exemplary initiative to promote girls’ education countrywide.

"Through your (First Lady) innovative efforts, including celebrating Rwandan women achievers and rewarding best performing girls, you have inspired the Rwandan girl to build her confidence and succeed in life,” Gatabazi said while handing over the trophy.

Imbuto Foundation Director General, Radegonde Ndejuru, Workforce Development Authority (WDA) deputy Director, Fatina Mukarubibi, Rwanda Development Board (RDB) representative, Alphonse Zigira, and CISCO Country representative, Patrick Ndatimana attended the event.
