APR skipper Patrick Mafisango is among the 28 players included in Azam FC’s squad for the 2010/2011 Tanzania’s Premier League which kicks off on August 21.

Mafisango whose contract with the military expired last month is a free agent and has been waiting to engage in talks with APR for a possible renewal of another long term contract but the club has offered nothing to date.

When contacted, Mafisango vehemently refused to confirm whether he has signed any form of contract with Azam despite his name appearing on the squad list for next season.

The list includes Kenyan midfielder Kalimangonga Ongala and who hit the headlines following his Tzsh.58m (about Frw.23m) record-breaking move from Yanga last month.

Apart from Mafisango and Morisho Ngassa, other new faces in the Azam squad will also include Simba midfielder duo Jabir Aziz and Ramadhan Chombo ‘Redondo’, Mohamed Binslum who has joined them as free agent and Taifa Stars custodian Jackson Chove.
