RWANDA’S U-20 team beat their counterparts of the U-17 in a training match played yesterday at Ferwafa ground.
The U-20 side led by head coach Sellas Tetteh got their goals through SC Villa striker Kipson Atuheire and Atraco’s Ismail Habumugisha.

Tetteh’s team was using the game as part of their preparations ahead of the tricky first leg tie against Congo Brazzaville in the qualifiers for next year’s Africa Youth Championship due in Libya.

The U-17 side which looked solid in all departments scored their consolation goal through Innocent Mugabo.

The U-17 side is preparing for next month’s international friendly match against Ghana on in Accra before representing the country at next month’s Cecafa Youth Development Championship in Asmara, Eritrea.

The Junior Wasps will depart for Congo Brazzaville on Wednesday morning ahead of their scheduled match on Saturday.

If the junior wasps win the two-legged qualifier, they will proceed to the final qualifying match where they are expected to meet the winner between Cameroon and Central Africa in September.
