NYAGATARE - The Bank of Kigali (BK), on Thursday hosted its clients in Nyagatare district and applauded their development through its support.

The bank’s Managing Director; James Gatera thanked the clients for their commitment in developing their capacity and the district as well.

At the ceremony, Gatera told clients that the Bank is committed to participate in all corners of the country’s development.

He said that it’s the Bank’s practice every year to meet its esteemed customers in all corners of the country to find out the progress they have made and see how the bank can keep assisting them.

‘I am so happy with the progress that has so far been made in Nyagatare district since BK’s inception. We also want to transform Nyagatare district in a bigger and better way,’ he said.

He called upon clients to join the institution and access loans to build modern buildings in the district so that other neighbouring districts can benefit from the Nyagatare development.

In a separate interview, Gatera said that BK fundamentally looks at managing the Bank in a way that would transform this country economically, socially and environmentally.
He said that BK will soon open twelve more branches in line with its vision of participating in the country’s development.

‘We want to open many branches as a way of reaching all corners of the country and later we extend to East African Community,’ he said.

Gatera cleared a misconception by clients that the Bank is for high income earners and said that BK is a Bank for all Rwandans.

James Mirenge, one of the successful BK clients said that he was impressed by the Bank’s development to lift up local clients.
