Henry heading to MLS? That is sad

Editor,

Its amazing just how low the mighty fall. From being the darling of Highbury, the Emirates and the Nou Camp, Thierry Henry will now have to play football with players who wouldn’t have deserved to tie his shoelaces.

I don’t understand why he did it; at 32 he still has so much to give. I’m of the belief that he should have stayed a season or two more in Europe before enjoying his last years in the Major League Soccer (MLS).

I heard that West Ham United wanted to employ him, he should have accepted the deal. I guess it was all about money; I’m sure that he will enjoy a pay package that only David Beckham’s can rival.

I fear that this is the end of the great Thierry Henry. As a Manchester United fan, I might have hated him, but I respected his footballing abilities as well. So long.
