I am pleased that the Minister of Foreign Affairs Louis Mushikiwabo reported to the Senate that Rwanda plans to open embassies in Dakar, Senegal and Abuja, Nigeria. As we expand our global reach and alliances, its pertinent that Rwanda has toe holds in as many countries as possible.

West Africa is a growing economic power and if we want to tap into this region, we must begin with diplomatic posts.

These posts will sell Rwanda to the West African community and we shall enjoy more investment from the region. In fact, this has began, just look at Ecobank-it is a West African multinational bank doing business in Rwanda.
