Six students from Green Hills Academy are in Germany on an Exchange programme aimed at strengthening ties between Green Hills students and students of Lise Meitner Gemnasium high school, in Munich.

Six students from Green Hills Academy are in Germany on an Exchange programme aimed at strengthening ties between Green Hills students and students of Lise Meitner Gemnasium high school, in Munich.

The Rwandan students, who have been in Germany from July 1, are expected back July 15.

The programme was initiated in 2007 by the honorary consul of Bavaria, Schmeid Triessler in 2007.
 
According to the Public relations officer of Green Hills, Lucie Umulisa every year, six students from Lise Meitner Gemnasium high school come to Kigali for two weeks under the programme while the same number go to Germany.

The Germany students were in Rwanda in June where they learnt a lot about the country.

The whole programme is sponsored by "Rwanda Support” an NGO headed by Triessler’s wife and daughter.
