THE 2010/11 Primus league will start in September according to the country’s football governing body, Ferwafa.

The body’s Vice President Raoul Gisanura said that the league would kick off towards the end of September although a final decision is only expected to be reached during a general assembly in August.

Mid-way last season, Rwanda’s main brewing and soft beverage company, Bralirwa unleashed a three-year sponsorship package worth Rwf335m for the top flight football league.

The partnership covered the remainder of last season as well as the 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 seasons. After each league, a tournament dubbed ‘Primus Cup’ will be held. APR romped to a record 11th league title last season.
