While I’m writing this I don’t know who won yesterdays final. However, all I know is that this might be the last African world cup in my lifetime, and I feel like the days have gone so fast.

It feels like it was only yesterday that Mexico broke some hearts by drawing with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the opening game.

So, all the thrills, spill and heart stopping moments are over for another four years. Africa proved that it can hold a huge tournament successfully and I feel that all the unpleasant, and racist, remarks made about the ‘Dark Continent’ have come to naught.

I want to thank South Africa for doing a great job. You showed the world the best Africa has to offer. Maybe its time we start bidding for the Olympics Games as well.
