Something about me is that I love fashion very much, so anyone who has some taste in fashion becomes my favourite pass time. Hardly a day passes without me going to the net to find out about what Mrs Obama the First Lady of the United States of America has new, in terms of fashion.

She is regarded as the first lady of fashion and icon, and she is truly living to her title! Her fashion has some resemblance to that of the late Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis back in the sixties.

I must confess that every outfit that Mrs Obama adorns makes her look lovely, whether in her famous staple suits or just out jogging in trendy sports wear.

What makes Mrs.Obama’s style so unique is the way she chooses her colours. The mix and matches, the bold colours or even the prints, tell us that she is not afraid of choosing her colours no matter what the occasion.

Unlike most of us, she chooses her colours freely which most of the time makes her stand out uniquely. Some years ago one would be looked down upon when spotted in clothes of some colours; but fashion industry changed all that a year ago when it went boom with bold colours.

Now most ladies can be seen around wearing the bold colours everywhere, the bright colours are no longer restricted, one can choose any colour of an outfit to either go with the market with or whether on an official visit.

Some people still do have reservations about wearing bright coloured clothes on official purposes, but then if Mrs Obama can wear her bright yellow suit who will not?

Below are some of the colours that are back in a boom!

Yellow

When you see a lady wearing a yellow outfit, she shines with optimism, enlightenment, and happiness. Shades of golden yellow carry the promise of a positive future. Yellow will advance from surrounding colours and instil optimism and energy, as well as spark creative thoughts.

Colour yellow affects us mentally and physically; it also stimulates mentally the nervous system, as it activates memory by encouraging communication.

You see a lady in yellow, and then know that is one person who is sure of herself and one who exudes confidence, how perfect for our dear Mrs .Obama.

Red

Red has more personal associations than any other colour. Recognized as a stimulant red is inherently exciting and the amount of red is directly related to the level of energy perceived. Red draws attention and a keen use of red as an accent can immediately focus attention on a particular element.

The colour red affects us mentally and physically, as it increases enthusiasm, stimulates energy, encourages action and confidence and a sense of protection from fears and anxiety, just the perfect colour of our first lady, the mother of our nation.

Green

Green occupies more space in the spectrum visible to the human eye and is second only to blue as a favourite colour. Green is the pervasive colour in the natural world that is an ideal backdrop in interior design because we are so used to seeing it everywhere.

The natural greens, from forest to lime, are seen as tranquil and refreshing, with a natural balance of cool and warm (blue and yellow) undertones. Green is considered the colour of peace and ecology.

The colour green affects us physically and mentally, it soothes by making us relax mentally as well as physically. It also helps alleviate depression, nervousness and anxiety it also offers a sense of renewal, self-control and harmony

Few women have adopted the bold colours, but some are still stuck in their old selves not wanting to change. These bold colours also make one really young than their actual age. I would not tread anything with my yellow blouse, or my orange shoes.

When I am in the mood I make sure I match all my coloured tops with their matching shoes to make a fashion statement. In fashion you don’t have to copy anyone, just being creative and colourful can make one look unique and themselves.
