Tetteh calls up Villa youngster

SELLAS Tetteh has drafted SC Villa wonder-kid Kipson Atuheire into his provisional 24-man team just days before the Junior Wasps embark on their final preparation phase for the 2011 Africa Junior Championship qualifier against Congo Brazzaville.

The 17-year-old, who scored nine goals in the just ended Uganda Super League, is expected to beef up the attack ahead of the first leg to be played in Congo Brazzaville on July 24.

Tetteh was impressed with the youngsters after a recent one-week training stint which was held at Ferwafa’s artificial turf.

"What I have seen in training is very encouraging,” he said at the time.

The second session kicks off this Sunday at La Palisse Nyandungu.

The bulk of the team is from APR, Rayon Sport, Kiyovu and Electrogaz. The biannual event will be staged in Tripoli, Libya.
