Of late, I have noticed a number of drivers who intentionally ignore traffic lights. I would like to request the traffic police to be more vigilant and penalize such drivers heavily.

The two spots that drivers always seem to ignore are the ones opposite the UTC building, just before Caritas building and the ones near Hotel Mille Collines, just opposite Rwandatel offices. It seems the drivers lack the basic etiquette and it is only through the severe traffic fines that they will get back in line.

The actions of such drivers are a show of disrespect to other road users and worse still, they put other people in danger.

Should need be, cameras should be installed at these spots.
