Don’t miss the opportunity to vote

Editor,

I have read in your paper that the National Electoral Commission is giving more time to Rwandans to register to vote in the upcoming presidential elections.

I once lived in a country where I could not even vote for my area representative and yet the only way my voice could be heard was through my ballot.

The experience taught me to value the right to vote. In Rwanda, every citizen is entitled to vote. Through your paper, I would, therefore, like to tell any Rwandan who has not registered, to do so and when the day comes, they should exercise their right.

As a Rwandan you have a say in how the country is run, and your voice will be heard through your vote. The feeling of casting a vote is priceless.
