Synopsis: The title is easily misleading. There is no love in this Paris based, action-packed, bullet-riddled movie. It’s all action, lots of bullets, and more action. An ambitious  low-ranking intelligence operative (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) working in the office of the U.S. Ambassador in France realizes he might have taken on more than he could handle when he is teamed up with a possibly psychopathic,   wisecracking, fast-shooting, high-ranking U.S. agent (John Travolta) who’s been sent to Paris to stop a terrorist attack. Though his Modus Operandi is questionable, he gets the job done.

Verdict:  The film is based on the tired "good-guy-takes-on-bad-guys-and-wins” story line.  But John Travolta’s over-the-top performance makes the movie a worthwhile watch.  His "out of control, loose cannon” act gives the movie the needed traction to raise it above cheap films.

At some point, you wonder why the movie was set in France, since there are only two scenes that are actually about France, and there is almost no French word spoken in the movie.  There are Americans, Chinese, Pakistani, and some Africans in the movie, hardly any French people in the cast.

Like I said, the title is easily misleading. It is simple, entertaining, and good watching, if shootouts, clichés and mayhem are your idea of a good movie.
