Nyagatare health centres receive Rwf380million

NYAGATARE - In its health interventions, Intra Health- Rwanda has earmarked over Rwf380 million to facilitate health centres in Nyagatare district.

This was announced, on Wednesday, by Ibeli Kagabo, Intra Health official in charge of monitoring and evaluation, during a meeting that brought together Intra Health officials and heads of health centres in the district.

Kagabo, said the money will facilitate health centres in various activities including providing HIV tests.

‘We normally give out this money mainly to help health centres meet their primary needs like carrying out HIV tests, treating diseases like Tuberculosis and many others,’ he said.

‘We deposit the money on their accounts and follow up whether it is put into good use.’

Céline Umurerwa, the head of Mimuli Health Centre told The New Times that the funds will help them fulfil their long term plans, including HIV/Aids interventions.
