RULINDO — 20 of the best performing girls in senior six are undergoing a one-month CISCO training at Tumba College of Technology (TCT) courtesy of Imbuto Foundation.

The Principal of TCT, Pascal Gatabazi, said the girls are among the best performers in 2009 and hail from all the five provinces.

"Five girls were selected from each province to be sponsored by Imbuto Foundation. The girls are being trained in computer application skills as well as specialties like hardware and software skills,” said Gatabazi.

The IT coordinator at TCT, Oscar Kalima, says the aim of the training is for the girls to attain IT essentials and ‘hands on’ skills packages which are deemed useful for their future careers.

"Those who wish to continue to pursue the advanced packages will be facilitated by being enabled to attend other International open door CISCO certificates”, said Kalima.

He further said the CISCO course for Imbuto Foundation best performing girls’ course shall be concluded on 15 July.
