Embrace your flaws, perfection doesn’t exist

DO not try to be perfect unless you’re absolutely sure you can. Some women think it is necessary to be perfect in everything. I just hate to be the bearer of bad news but I am afraid there is no such thing. You can be all you want to be in this world but you can’t be perfect.

Even Miss Perfect sometimes has flaws.

DO not try to be perfect unless you’re absolutely sure you can. Some women think it is necessary to be perfect in everything. I just hate to be the bearer of bad news but I am afraid there is no such thing.

You can be all you want to be in this world but you can’t be perfect. Even if you look like a billion bucks, you still have an imperfection that is not visible to the naked eye. It’s okay because at least that way we will know you are human.

Wouldn’t it just totally creep you out if you came across a woman who was so gorgeous she made you cry, spoke almost every language known to man, smarter than Einstein, cooked like a pro, brilliant with kids and generally was at the top of her game at everything?
She just doesn’t exist.

If your looks worry you and are thinking about plastic surgery so you can become a copy of Beyonce, I suggest you quit now. Even if you don’t see it, she has her imperfections too.

Beyonce once said on the Tyra Banks Show that the thing she didn’t like most about herself were her ears. They are too big. So she wears really big earrings to try and make them look smaller. I don’t see her running to a plastic surgeon to have them reduced.

If your hair doesn’t grow as fast as others, don’t go buying pills to enhance your hair growth because trust me, if it does grow eventually, you can be sure it will be growing rapidly in other areas too! True story.

I think weaves are a better option but remember to let your hair breathe from time to time. Try the authentic weaves preferably of a decent length. No one will believe that the lustrous and shiny black hair on your head isn’t yours!

With beauty enhancements like acrylic nails to fake eye lashes, there are so many options other than cosmetic surgery. However, it’s better to let your natural features relax.

Let’s switch to cooking. In this day and age it is absurd for any woman not to know how to cook. But that doesn’t mean you have to be a head chef either. If you can make an edible meal for about 10 people, you are not doing badly.

If you can’t cook anything besides a pot of water, there are cook books and cooking classes that can help.  Learn at least enough to cook a decent meal for your guests, that won’t leave their stomachs cursing you forever.

Forget the five course meals for the chefs at Serena Hotel. You can learn if you want to. Do not push yourself too far all in the name of perfection. We need to learn to accept our flaws because we wouldn’t be human without them.

If you are a lousy dancer, go for some dance lessons. Learn enough not to embarrass your date during a night out. But please, don’t try to be John Travolta, Michael Jackson and a professional salsa dancer in one. This cocktail is a disaster!

We can’t be good at everything. That is not human. Flaws are sometimes good because they provide room for improvement. When you embrace your flaws you embrace confidence that allows you to change for the better.
