Bitok to schedule friendlies for junior v-ballers

THE national women volleyball coach Paul Bitok has tabled two friendlies for the junior team ahead of this year’s Africa Junior Volleyball Championship in Tunis, Tunisia. After the first preparation phase in Kigali, the team will head to Kenya in August were they will play two friendlies in Nakuru and Kasarani before flying out to Tunisia for the tournament proper.

THE national women volleyball coach Paul Bitok has tabled two friendlies for the junior team ahead of this year’s Africa Junior Volleyball Championship in Tunis, Tunisia.

After the first preparation phase in Kigali, the team will head to Kenya in August were they will play two friendlies in Nakuru and Kasarani before flying out to Tunisia for the tournament proper.

The 18-man provisional team will embark on residential training from July 27 according to the local volleyball federation’s Secretary General Gertrude Kubwimana.

Meanwhile, the second batch of the national men’s junior volleyball team left for Brazil last evening to join their colleagues who have already embarked to intensive training ahead of August’s Africa junior championships to be staged in Libya.

The six-man team left aboard RwandAir and was set to have brief stop overs in Nairobi and Dubai before finally connecting to Sao Paolo, Brazil.
