AFTER Patrice Lair’s resignation as national Under-17 head coach, the local football body, Ferwafa is already working round the clock to find a replacement.

The body’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jules Kalisa said that the position is vacant after Lair agreed to take charge of Olympic Lyon’s women side.

"It’s unfortunate that Patrice has decided to quit but we hope to get a good replacement soon rather than later.”
Ferwafa is being assisted by Fifa Technical Director Jean-Michel Benezet, the same person who lured Patrice to take up the U-17 job.

Between October 2003 and February 2004, Patrice managed French side Angouleme CFC.

Next year, Rwanda will stage the 9th Africa U-17 championship. The tournament will be held at three venues; Amahoro stadium, Nyamirambo’s Regional stadium and Rubavu stadium.
