The School of Finance and Banking (SFB), on Friday, joined the rest of the country in celebrating the youth empowerment week that ended yesterday.

As part of the event, the varsity’s staff and students walked from the school to Amahoro National Stadium to demonstrate and celebrate youth empowerment which they attributed to President Paul Kagame.

Addressing the youth shortly after match, Protais Mitali, the Minister of Youth said that the week was intended to review the empowerment progress within the youth, and reminded the gathering of their responsibility in building a better country.

He called upon the students to embrace the reforms the country is undertaking since they are to their benefit.

Mitali further cautioned the students over drug abuse, saying it is escalating at an alarming rate in academic institutions and it will not be tolerated.

The minister also urged varsity students to always remain close to their fellow youth who did not get a chance to attend school, and advise them on how they can progress in life.
