NYAGATARE - A second-year student at Umutara Polytechnic University on Wednesday walked away with a 47 inch LG flat screen plus a Dstv decoder with six months subscription as part of the company’s promotion campaign dubbed ‘Sponsor of your Passion.’

Aman Belte, who couldn’t hide his excitement, said, "This is indeed the real official sponsor of my passion. I had bought a TIGO SIM card just a day before and loaded Rwf500 when I immediately received a call telling me I had won a television set.”

Flanked by fellow students, Belte said that he intends to use the TV to make money.

"I am a keen football fan and believe I can fulfill my long term dream of setting up a sports entertaining business in this town,” he said.

Tigo’s Public Relations Officer, Saad Ngabo called on the telecommunications company subscribers to keep up with the promotion, revealing that there were many more prizes to be won including a cash prize of Rwf 12 million.
