Junior volleyballers off to Brazil

THE national junior volleyball team departs for Brazil this afternoon for further training ahead of the Africa Junior nations championships set for August in Libya. According to the national volleyball team head Coach Paulo de Tarso, the trip will expose the youngsters.

THE national junior volleyball team departs for Brazil this afternoon for further training ahead of the Africa Junior nations championships set for August in Libya. According to the national volleyball team head Coach Paulo de Tarso, the trip will expose the youngsters.

"We are going in Brazil for a one-month training camp after which we shall head straight to Libya for the tournament. We shall play eight friendly games in Brazil and hope that by the time we are done, the boys will be in better shape,” said Tarso.

The team includes; Bienvenue Biyenzi, Alexis Ntakirutimana, Athanase Bigirimana, Christophe Mukunzi, Theodore Hyiango, Placide Sibomana, Bonny Mutabazi, Olivier Ntagengwa, Aimable Mutuyimana, Clement Musabe, Fred Musoni, Maurice Naihizeye, Marc Rukebesha and Laurence Yakan who also features for the senior national team.

The officials include Tarso, assistant coach Rubens Bordinho, physical trainer Adriano Roza Favoro Antonio, Amalfi Maria Feranada (physio) and Paulo Pan (coordinator).
