KICUKIRO College of Technology (KCT) maintained their fairytale run in the inaugural Computer Point T20 tournament after Sunday’s four-wicket victory over Titans at Kicukiro oval.

KCT skipper Eric Dusingizimana was the side’s hero as his swashbuckling 92 not out ensured that the home side sailed home with three balls to spare.

After a valuable 37 from Bob Bashir Songa, Emma Byiringiro propelled Titans to a competitive total (140) with a brisk 44 not out.

However, KCT openers Irenee Bagirishyo (12) and Dusingizimana got the chase off to a flyer with 26 runs off the opening three overs.

Dusingizimana then took the game away from Titans with a destructive knock which included eight fours and three sixes.

Earlier in the day, Challengers’ fortune ran out as they crushed to a five-wicket defeat against a revamped Indorwa side.

Srinath Vardhineni’s side failed to defend what looked like a winning score of 147 thanks to valuable knocks from Patel Nayan (20) and Patel Mihir 70 not out.

With Indorwa, KCC and KCT through to the last four, the fourth and final slot remains open to Challengers, Right Guards and Titans.
