Nyanza youth celebrate 10th anniversary

NYANZA - The youth of Cyabakamyi sector in Nyanza District, have reaffirmed their commitment to make significant input in the development of their community. They made the pledge recently during communal work to clear grounds for the construction of classrooms for Gruope Scolaire Nyagisozi.

NYANZA - The youth of Cyabakamyi sector in Nyanza District, have reaffirmed their commitment to make significant input in the development of their community.

They made the pledge recently during communal work to clear grounds for the construction of classrooms for Gruope Scolaire Nyagisozi.

The communal work was part of activities to mark the 10 anniversary of the establishment of the National Youth Council.

"Sixteen classrooms are needed and there is hope that this goal will be attained since residents have displayed a commendable commitment to promote education in the area,” said Herman Rutabagisha, the Executive Secretary of Cyabakamyi.

The National Youth Council coordinator for Nyanza District, Murere Etienne, said that youth in Rwanda have been able to achieve much due to their empowerment by the government.

"We are grateful to the country’s good leadership, and youths are committed to promoting good governance and using their energy to compliment government development strategies”

District vice Mayor, Francis Nkurunziz,a also urged Nyanza youths to utilize their energies in transforming their society.
