Rwanda is now safe

I wish to clear the air and inform people out there who still think that Rwanda is no safe place to reside and that there is a serious threat of genocide out break anytime, to revisit their thinking.

I wish to clear the air and inform people out there who still think that Rwanda is no safe place to reside and that there is a serious threat of genocide out break anytime, to revisit their thinking.

People outside always ask this same old question; is it safe for one to live in Rwanda after the genocide? Yes, the country is at peace.

You do see signs of the 1994 tragedy everywhere, particularly billboards in each town locating the tribunal sites. People freely talk about it.

Rwanda has drastically changed. It’s a beautiful, mountainous country that is slowly putting together advanced infrastructure.

This makes it easy for one to see the clear-cut difference between the Rwanda before and after the genocide.
The facts on ground are beyond the myths that go through people’s minds every time you mention Rwanda.

There is a saying in Kinyarwanda that goes; a hungry lion will eat grass. Rwandans are no exception to this rule. They are hungrier to develop the country now more than ever before and certainly Rwanda is destined for greater things.
