Local gospel artists, Diana Nkusi and Aline Gahongaire have returned from Burundi, after a promo-tour of her gospel album.

Nkusi’s spokesperson, Patrick Kanyamibwa confirmed to The New Times that the duo travelled to Bujumbura, Burundi’s capital, on June 5, 2010 and returned on June 8.

"The intention for their trip was to publicize Nkusi’s new album in Burundi,” he said. Nkusi’s 10 track album titled ‘Ndaguhaye Icyubahiro’—”I Give You Honour” is a combination of Salsa, Zouk, Rock, Rumba, R&B, Hip Hop, and traditional Kinyarwanda—it was launched early this year.

Nkusi and Gahongaire performed in different Churches, including Apollinaire’s Church, ‘Life Centre’ and at ‘Le Rochet’, a Church belonging to the Burundian President, Pierre Nkurunziza.

The ‘Mukinzimiza’ ("Dear Lover”) singer, Nkusi was hosted on Burundi’s Television, as well as the HTV Gospel TV.
