This is in reference to the Commentary by Emile Babu in yesterday’s issue of your newspaper entitled "Why it’s hard to accept a successful Rwanda.”
While it might have been hard to accept a successful Rwanda a decade ago, it is my firm belief that despite the negative publicity and adverse stories which some journalists might publish in different parts of the world from time to time, Rwanda’s success story is here to stay.
There is not the slightest doubt that Rwanda has displayed her firm resolve over the years, to rise up again, after the horrors of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi and has taken her rightful place as a country with a bright vision for the future. Being admitted into the Commonwealth only endorsed this resolve.
The rapid rise in international rankings done by organisations like the World Bank, further justifies the success of Rwanda.
The journey has not, by all means, been an easy one and it is only the sound Government policies and good governance which have led to the success of Rwanda - A New African Dawn.
