Editor,

Allow me to express my sincere gratitude to the student nurses and midwives who graduated from the five nursing and midwifery schools in Rwanda which are: Kabwayi, Kibungo, Rwamagana, Byumba and Nyagatare schools of nursing and midwifery.

I was impressed by their excellent performance where most scored distinctions. Particularly I congratulate the three midwives from Nyagatare school of nursing and midwifery who emerged best nationally due to their hard work and the great work done by the teaching staff.

I acknowledge the efforts and support from the ministry of health to improve the health care services by training nurses and midwives.

This has immensely empowered them to upgrade their professional skills   as a sure way of providing quality health care services countrywide.
