TWO local cyclists-Gasore Hategeka and Nicodem Habiyambere have been selected to take part in next month’s training camp at the International Cycling Center in Switzerland.

Team Rwanda Coach Jonathan Boyer reckons that the pair will get valuable experience as they train with some of the world’s best."It is good exposure for the boys since they will be training with cyclists from different parts of the world,” the American said.

In the just ended Kwita Izina cycling tour, Hategeka finished third while Habiyambere followed closely in 4th place. Four-time Tour of Rwanda champion Abraham Ruhumuriza won the event for a second year running.

The local cycling federation is now set to embark on preparations for the Africa Cycling Championship due in November.
