All parents should treat all children as their own.

Editor,

Last week I was motivated and inspired by Imbuto Foundation when they awarded 16 female students from the Western Province as best performers in last year’s Primary Leaving and Ordinary Level Examinations.

Finally Rwanda’s young girls have hope in their future thanks to the Guardian angels commonly known as "Malaika Murinzi” in Kinyarwanda, who have worked hard and looked after vulnerable girls who had nowhere to turn to.

Other parents should learn from this and help within their capacities, those children who are helpless. If parents in the countryside can do so, why can’t more parents in Kigali City take an extra effort to help.

If everyone became a guardian angel in Rwanda, the Land of a thousand Hills would be the best place to be on this globe. Parents should at least think about this possibility.
