RwandAir and Air Uganda have announced the signing of a code sharing agreement on their flights between Entebbe and Kigali.

On Monday, officials from the two companies met in a spirit of partnership and agreed to jointly market their services as one entity. Through the partnership, they will serve a wider network of regional destinations including Entebbe, Nairobi, Juba, Dar es Salaam, Johannesburg, Bujumbura, Kilimanjaro, Kamembe, Mombasa and Zanzibar.

This comes as good news for travelers, considering that both companies are already involved in some kind of separate alliances. Air Uganda belongs to the Celestair Group, with sister airlines in West Africa, while RwandaAir is involved in code sharing agreements with SN Brussels and Ethiopian Airways among others.

This shows that both carriers are not only committed to facilitating travel, but also expansion of their businesses beyond their boundaries.
