Tanzania vs Brazil

RWANDA’S assistant referee Felicien Kabanda has been confirmed as one of the officials who will officiate in Brazil’s final 2010 World Cup warm up game against Tanzania’s Taifa Stars.

The tie, slated for next Monday at National Stadium (Dar es Salaam), will be Brazil’s final test before embarking on their Group (G) campaign which also involves Portugal, Ivory Coast and North Korea.

Kabanda’s involvement was confirmed over the weekend by Cecafa president Leodegar Tenga, who also named Uganda’s Mohammed Sseggonga (center) and Burundi’s Desire Gahungu (assistant referee).

However, one Samba boy, the crowd will not see in action is Ricardo Kaka. It is reported that the Real Madrid star suffered a slight knock during training and will now miss the Taifa Stars game but should be fit for Brazil’s opener on June 15 against North Korea.

This Wednesday, the Samba boys, who are chasing for a record sixth World Cup title, play Zimbabwe in their first build up game.

Although Brazil are favoured to win this year’s World Cup, the likes of Spain, England and Argentina also have what it takes to win the Cup.

Brazil won the World Cup in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002. Tickets for the Brazil-Tanzania game stand at Rwf.75, 000, Rwf50, 000, Rwf40, 000 and Rwf25, 000 respectively.
