MUHANGA – Members of the Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF) -Inkotanyi in the Southern Province, have been asked to mobilise residents to massively turn out for the August polls, so as to increase the party’s prospects of a landslide victory.

The remarks were made at a party leaders’ meeting chaired by Senator Valens Munyabagisha, last Sunday at Gitarama cultural centre.

The meeting drew participants from Ruhango, Muhanga, Kamonyi and Nyanza districts.

The group’s victory plan will involve mass mobilisation of residents, use of uniform slogans, and to publicise the party manifesto and achievements made in the past years during the campaigns.

The meet urged members to ensure a peaceful, free and fair election come August 9.

"Party representatives must use the campaign period to solicit for votes from residents so that the party comes up with a landslide victory,” Senator Munyabagisha said.

The participants, who were briefed on the campaigns dates that are due to start on July 20, were further encouraged to maintain discipline and avoid any malpractices during the campaign period.
