Police F.C is competing in the FERWAFA first division where it’s known to be a big challenge to biggest teams in the country.
POLICE F.C as a team was born in the year 2003 in RWAMAGANA District. The team’s bold adventure begun in FERWAFA second division ,2003-2004 season, where it achieved first place after beating Southern region team Amagaju in NYAMAGABE.
Police football club’s first year in division I took place in pure glamour as the experience was concluded in style with the team coming in the "big four” teams for the season 2004-2005.
As C/Superintendent Freddy MURENZI -the Director of technical staff- told our reporter, POLICE FOOTBALL CLUB in the year 2005 was in competition with teams like APR fc and RAYON Sport for the first position but the season ended with the team in third position and got the third winners prize.
According to C/Supt Freddy MURENZI, the POLICE FOOTBALL CLUB had a good performance in 2005 when it was positioned among the "big four” teams as it came on third position and got a one million prize from Rwanda Football Association(FERWAFA).
Police f.c was also awarded another million and a half prize in 2005 for winning a second place in the SUPER CUP which opposed the big four of Rwanda Premier League.
There came a period of under performance (2006-2008), a period during which the team lost its position and was lagging at the bottom of the table and was lucky enough not to be dropped in the Second Division. The Club also provides players to the National Team squad.
Police Fc has currently 26 players namely BOSANDJA Fidèle, WEBO Lawrence, TUYISENGE Pekeyake, PIZOLLELA Cyrille, NDIKUMASABO Ibrahim, TCHOUACE Roger Serges, MUNGWARARERA Aphrodice, SEKAMANA Léandre, KONGOLO Papy, SONG Alexandre, EDOSANGO ENINGA Freddy, MEKA Hussein, UWINGABIRE Olivier, SULEIMAN Ahmed, MUTUYIMANA Evariste, GASHUGI Abdulkarim, MUTUNZI Clément NDAHAYO Eric, TWAGIZIMANA Fabrice, NSHIMIYIMANA Abubakar, MUNYAMPUNDU Origene, NKURIKIYE Jackson, BUNANE Jean d’amour, UWIZEYIMANA Seleman, MAZIMPAKA Andre, YIRIRWAHANDI Eric.
