Midfielder Rafael York remains coy on his next destination with a number of clubs interested in his services ahead of the forthcoming transfer window.

The Rwanda international will be a free agent when his contract expires on December 31 after he snubbed a contract extension with current club AFC Eskilstuna, a Swedish second tier club.

However, the midfielder has not decided his next destination yet despite receiving offers from clubs from first division clubs in Sweden and Norway on his table.

"It doesn't matter after leaving Eskilstuna if I remain in Sweden or I end up in Norway. The most important thing is the club's ambitions and that the club values my role and my qualities,” he told Swedish media outlet FotbollDirekt.

York joined Eskilstuna on January 21, 2021 from Kalmar FF and has gone on to play 57 games, scoring 6 goals and providing 3 assists.

The player thanked the club and the supporters for showing him the support during his stay.

"AFC Eskilstuna has been a great period and I really enjoyed the squad, the coach and the club. Everything has an end and I felt that it is time for me to try something new," he said.

Speaking of his next dream club, York said, "I want to end up in a club that has clear and high ambitions.”

York, 23, has previously played for clubs including Gefle, Sandvikens IF, Kalmar FF as well as VFL Bochum in Germany.
