Fina Bank launches Nyirangarama branch

RULINDO - Fina Bank last Friday officially launched its branch at Nyirangarama in Rulindo District.  While addressing the audience, Steve Caley, the managing Director said that the new branch is part of the Bank’s plans to spread its reach.

RULINDO - Fina Bank last Friday officially launched its branch at Nyirangarama in Rulindo District.  
While addressing the audience, Steve Caley, the managing Director said that the new branch is part of the Bank’s plans to spread its reach.

"Fina Bank intends to increase the number of branches in rural areas to boost various economic projects and uplift residents’ economic welfare,” Caley said. 

He further hailed the government for encouraging banking institutions in the entire country.

"Many Rwandans now fully utilize the presence of banks to attain economic prosperity,” he added. 

The Northern Province Executive Secretary, Deo Kabagamba, urged the residents to utilize the bank’s presence to access long and short term loans for financing their economic projects. 

"Economic development cannot be achieved without residents saving with banking institutions, to enable them access loans to boost their economic ventures,” he said. 

Eugene Murigande, the head of consumer banking, said that the newly opened branch, had, so far, registered 650 clients, since it opened just four months ago. Cooperative societies operating in Rulindo district also opened up accounts.

The Proprietor of URWIBUTSO Enterprises, based at Nyirangarama, Gerard Sina, hailed the bank for bringing its services nearer to the residents. 

"The presence of the bank has relieved many residents who used to make long journeys to Kigali and Musanze, to access banking facilities,” Sina said. 

The launch was attended by residents, members of the private sector, and local authorities including Rulindo Mayor, Justus Kangwagye.
