MRISHO Ngassa, who had been linked with a move to APR, has joined Tanzania’s premier league side Azam for Rwf22.5m.

The Tanzania media reported over the weekend that it took only two days for Yanga and Azam to finalise the deal.

The diminutive winger wizard, who was voted Tanzania player of the year, following his sensational form at club and national team (Taifa Stars), had agreed personal terms with the army side but Azam were quick to spend on the player.

Ngassa has now broken the transfer record of custodian Juma Kaseja who crossed over from Simba to Yanga for Rwf14 million.
