Rwanda vs Tanzania (June 5)

AMAVUBI Stars have two weeks to prepare for their 2011 CHAN qualifier return leg against Tanzania’s Taifa Stars after entering camp yesterday.

Amavubi may have scored a crucial goal in Dar es Salaam a few weeks ago but head coach Sellas Tetteh, who returns this weekend from Ghana were he recently launched his new book ‘Success Story Book’ reckons that the tie is still open.

The first leg ended in a 1-all draw and Tetteh insists that Amavubi still have it all to do in the return leg.

"Both teams still have a chance to qualify,” the Ghanaian recently said.

In Dar es Salaam, Roger Tchouassi gave Rwanda the lead but Mrisho Ngassa, who has been strongly linked with a move to APR equalised for Taifa Stars.

Places are still up for grabs in the Southern and Central-East zone. In Kampala, the Cranes of Uganda took a vital 1-0 win in their first leg fixture against Kenya.

Beside hosts Sudan and defending champions DRC, Ghana, Mali, Senegal, Niger, Cameroon and Ivory Coast are the other sides who have qualified for next year’s show piece.
