Stephen Muthiani is Deputy Manager Nakumatti supermarket in downtown Kigali. He says that he is charged with various responsibilities, which include controlling purchases and sales, as well, management.

Below he tells his tricks in managing such responsibilities each day;

I wake up at 6:30a.m, take a shower and immediately dress up to set off for work. It takes me only 10 minutes to get to my work place from home.

By 6:50, I am in the office. However, I do not spend time in there; I check to ensure the staff is at work. I also monitor to see if everything is in order. This includes checking on the availability of the goods and making sure what is out of stock, is recorded for purchase.

Lunch depends on the work available but at least, mid-day is the right time for me to have it.

In the afternoon, I spend sometime checking to see if we are selling on the right price considering the purchasing cost.

I also spend the evening helping customers and the staff based on the crowd we normally have.
I work until 9:30p.m when I go home. I may decide to prepare supper or just buy a ready meal.

At home, I watch and listen to local and international news. But at 11p.m, I follow KTN News.

I get to bed at mid-night without after having a night prayer.
