Ndjoli Kayitankore is a local comedian, famous as Kayombya in his Television series.

He was born in 1962, in the Democratic Republic of Congo; served in the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) before retiring.

Kayombya holds a diploma in psychology from Tuungane Institute in Goma. He is married and a father of two.
Acting, is something Kayombya had always wished to do, and his bit is comedy.

"Acting is my talent; I have never attended any school of film,’ Kayombya says. "I have an incredible sense of humour, that even when I was still a little boy, people used to tell me that I could be a good comedian.”

Kayombya joined the local movie industry in 2000, and soon his journey became successful, especially after he starred in ‘Ntawumenya Aho bwira ageze’ and its sequels propelled Kayombya to stardom.

He then went on to star in several films, including ‘Nyirabayazana’, Turugarijwe’, and ‘Iyo mbimenya’, and this clumsy character has been a huge success.

However, after featuring in several series episodes, Kayombya recently founded his own troupe "Inyambo” to give his fans a variety of comedies.

The comedian also believes that "Inyambo” will give platform to the country’s young talents chance to develop their skills in acting.

Despite the financial challenges hindering the development of the country’s movie industry, shortage of film productions and skilled personnel, Kayombya has continued to juggle film roles.

When he is not busy with his movie scripts or at the scene shooting films, Kayombya presents a show on City Radio dubbed ‘Abarezi Family’ with Dickson.
