RUSIZI - Three Kagara cell leaders in Gihundwe sector have been sacked from their offices as of Tuesday, August 21. Venuste Mayombo, Froliana Niyitegeka and Jacque Mukamana were working as security, coordination, and secretarial officials.

Sector vice-executive secretary in charge of social affairs Joseph Rubayiza said the three were sacked due to poor work behavior, characterized by ‘tribalism and genocide ideology.’

"The fired leaders have been creating divisionism based on tribes among the local residents and the later have been spreading hatred and genocide ideology in the area and their sacking was long overdue because residents have been telling us (sector officials) to remove the said personnel from their duties since January [of] this year,” Rubayiza said.

He added that, above all, they had been warned in writng and had been providing ‘poor’ services to the community.

Innocent Kariranga (coordinator), Tharicile Mutegarugori (secretary), and Jean Pierre Manzi (security) have filled the vacant positions.
